Attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) is a developmental brain disorder that begins in childhood and often persists into adulthood. Typical features of ADHD are impaired attention and/or hyperactivity/impulsiveness.The AwareMe app offers (adult) sufferers and their families the opportunity to find out about the disease itself, as well as strategies for dealing with individual symptoms that frequently occur in everyday life, and to reflect on themselves. The app was developed as part of the AwareMe project (https://www.awareme.de/) funded by the Federal Ministry of Education and Research in a consortium with Ascora GmbH, Bonn University Hospital, Budelmann Elektronik GmbH and OFFIS - Institute for Computer Science. The psychoeducational app content is based on the manual by DAmelio and colleagues (2009):DAmelio R, Retz W, Philipsen A, Rösler M (2009). Psychoeducation and coaching ADHD in adulthood: Manual for leading patient and family groups. Munich: Elsevier, Urban & Fischer. The app presented here was evaluated and validated in the following clinical study:Selaskowski, B., Steffens, M., Schulze, M., Lingen, M., Aslan, B., Rosen, H., ... & Braun, N.
